Mohali Demarcation: 42 Objections Against Proposed Boundary Changes
Imagine Mohali is a big club, and the city government wants to change the club's membership list.
They decided to remove some neighborhoods like Balongi, Bad Majra, and TDI City from the club.
But, lots of people who live in those neighborhoods don't want to leave the club!
They wrote 42 letters, called objections, saying they want to stay in.
Only one person agreed with the changes.
Now, the club leader will look at all the letters and tell the main government what people think.
The government will then make the final decision about who gets to be in the Mohali club.
Mohali Municipal Corporation boundaries are being redrawn.
A proposal to exclude Balongi, Bad Majra, and TDI City has received 42 objections.
Only one objection was in favor of the proposed boundary changes.
Residents from TDI City, Balongi, and Bad Majra, along with those from MR and Ansal Housing Societies, filed objections.
A report of the objections has been submitted to the Mohali Municipal Commissioner for further action.
