Former officer demands cancellation of MBBS second-round admissions

Vijay Kumar says a medical-college admission round was not conducted fairly.

He wants the second round of MBBS admissions cancelled.

He says reservation rules were not followed properly.

He also says candidates should have been allowed to choose as many colleges as they wanted.

One BC-B candidate with a NEET rank of 31,325 was allegedly unable to get a seat at Guntur Medical College.

Vijay Kumar believes the way college choices were processed caused this problem.

He says about 70 reserved-category candidates faced similar difficulties.

A parents’ association leader also questioned whether the government could limit students’ college choices.
