Nashik Approves ₹1,630 Crore Kumbh Infrastructure Expansion Plan

Nashik is preparing for a large religious gathering called the Simhastha Kumbh Mela.

The government has approved about ₹1,630 crore for roads, airport improvements and other projects.

Around ₹1,000 crore will support roads and development inside the city.

Another ₹630 crore will be used to expand Nashik Airport.

The new airport terminal should handle about three times as many passengers as it does now.

It will also have aerobridges, parking and updated security systems.

Officials want the airport and road work finished on schedule.

The improvements are intended to help large numbers of visitors travel around Nashik more easily.
