Delhi Police Proposes Women's Police Stations in Each District
The Delhi Police wants to make women safer.
They plan to create a special police station for women in each part of the city.
Right now, there's only one such station.
The new stations will be run by women and handle cases about women and children.
The police commissioner asked for suggestions on where to put these stations and how many people they will need.
They will ask the government for permission after getting suggestions.
The Delhi Police plans to open women's police stations in each of the 15 districts.
The proposal is from the new Police Commissioner, Satish Golcha.
Currently, only one women's police station exists.
Each station will be headed by a woman Station House Officer.
The plan requires approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
