IIT Hyderabad Launches First Industry‑Academia Nuclear Program
IIT Hyderabad and a company called Crimson Energy Experts started a new program called ANUGYAN.
It lasts three months and teaches students and workers about nuclear power.
The course mixes classroom lessons with real‑world projects.
After finishing, students get a certificate from both the university and the company.
The goal is to help India build more nuclear power plants safely and quickly.
IIT Hyderabad and Crimson Energy Experts launched ANUGYAN, India's first industry‑academia nuclear technology orientation programme.
The three‑month residential programme blends IIT Hyderabad’s academic curriculum with hands‑on training from senior nuclear professionals.
ANUGYAN covers reactor physics, SMRs, safety, AERB compliance, and simulator‑based training to prepare engineers for India’s planned 100 GW nuclear capacity by 2047.
Graduates receive joint certification from IIT Hyderabad and Crimson Energy Experts and can work in research, public sector, EPC, and manufacturing sectors.
The launch follows a memorandum of understanding to create a Centre of Design Excellence in Nuclear Engineering (CODENE) with Dassault Systèmes and Crimson Energy Experts.
