Delhi HC Upholds Security Clearance Revocation for Turkish Firm
Imagine a company from Turkey that helps with airport services in India.
The Indian government decided this company couldn't provide security services anymore.
The company then asked the court to overturn the decision, but the court said no.
The government said it was worried about national security.
The court agreed because it's very important to keep the country safe.
This is similar to a company not being allowed to work on certain defense projects because of potential risks.
Earlier, security clearances for other Celebi companies were also revoked and the court upheld those revocations too.
The court recognized the serious security issues at hand.
Delhi High Court upheld the revocation of security clearance for Turkish firm Celebi.
The court dismissed the petition challenging the decision by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS).
BCAS revoked security clearances for Celebi Airport Services India and Celebi Delhi Cargo Terminal Management India in May.
Previous petitions against the revocation were also dismissed by the Delhi High Court.
The government cited national security concerns as the reason for the revocation.
