India Celebrates 77th Republic Day with Military Might and Cultural Diversity
India is celebrating its 77th Republic Day on January 26, 2026.
This special day marks the anniversary of when India's Constitution came into effect in 1950.
The celebrations include a big parade on Kartavya Path in New Delhi, starting at 10:30 am.
The parade will show off India's military strength, cultural diversity, and development.
There will be 30 special floats, some from different states and some from government departments.
The chief guests this year are important leaders from Europe.
The theme of the celebrations is '150 years of Vande Mataram' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat,' which means self-reliant India.
The parade will last about 90 minutes and will be broadcast live on television.
The day also includes a tribute to fallen soldiers at the National War Memorial.
After the parade, India and the European Union will have an important meeting to discuss trade and security.
