L&T Wins MMRDA Contract for Mumbai Metro Lines 4 & 4A

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won a big contract from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) to work on the Mumbai Metro Lines 4 and 4A.

This project will cover 35.2 km and connect important areas like Wadala, Kasarvadavali, and Gaimukh.

L&T will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining the power and traction systems for 24.72 km of the metro route.

They will also provide special systems to help control and monitor the metro operations at 32 stations, depots, and substations.

Additionally, they will set up electrical and mechanical systems, lifts, and escalators at 22 elevated stations.

This is the third contract L&T has won for this metro project, showing their important role in making the Mumbai Metro better.

After completing the work, L&T will also take care of the maintenance for five years.
