DBF inaugurates HDPE water storage system in Kadapa village
A big company called Dalmia Bharat has a special group that helps communities, named the Dalmia Bharat Foundation.
This group built a new water storage system in a village called Pedda Komerla in India.
The tank can hold 10,000 litres of water.
The village's old water pipes were very old and had leaks and blockages.
The new storage system is connected to the old pipes to fix these problems.
Now, about 80 households in the village can get water for drinking and daily use.
The water also helps people take care of more than 200 animals.
The project is expected to make the village healthier and improve people's quality of life.
Officials from Dalmia's Kadapa plant came to the village to open the new facility.
Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), the CSR arm of Dalmia Bharat Ltd., inaugurated a household water supply system at Pedda Komerla village in Kadapa district.
The initiative benefits nearly 80 households.
DBF installed a 10,000-litre HDPE water storage system connected to the existing pipeline network.
The project addresses the village's decade-old water infrastructure issues, including ageing pipelines, leakages and blockages.
