Google Launches Gemini Robotics 2, AI Brain for Humanoid Robots
Google has created a new AI brain called Gemini Robotics 2 that helps robots think and act like people.
The brain lets robots hear spoken instructions, figure out what to do next, and move their whole bodies—walking, crouching, and using both hands.
It can also do delicate tasks like tying knots or sealing bags.
A second model, Gemini Robotics ER 2, helps the robot plan big jobs by breaking them into smaller steps and changing the plan if something goes wrong.
The system can run on the robot itself, so it doesn’t need to connect to the internet to work.
Google unveiled Gemini Robotics 2, an AI model that serves as a high‑level brain for humanoid robots.
The system lets robots understand spoken commands, reason about surroundings, and perform complex tasks in real time.
Gemini Robotics 2 adds full‑body control, enabling walking, crouching, balancing, bending, and dual‑hand operation.
A companion model, Gemini Robotics ER 2, acts as a project manager, breaking tasks into steps and replanning when needed.
Gemini Robotics On‑Device 2 allows robots to run the AI locally without cloud connectivity, speeding customization.
