Maharashtra Walkathons Bring Water And Soil Conservation To Public

Thousands of people joined water-conservation walks in two Maharashtra locations.

The events took place in Palghar and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Friday.

They were held for Water Conservation Day.

This day also marks the birth anniversary of former Chief Minister Sudhakarrao Naik.

People carried signs and shouted messages about saving water.

They learned that rainwater should be collected and allowed to soak into the ground.

The walks also encouraged people to protect soil and natural water resources.

In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, seven lucky-draw winners received prizes.

The organizers said everyone must help make Maharashtra safer from water shortages.
