CTET 2026 Revised Exam Dates Await CBSE Announcement
The CTET is a test for people who want to become teachers.
CBSE had earlier planned to hold the 2026 exam on September 6.
The board reopened applications so eligible people who missed the first deadline could apply.
Applications were accepted from August 25 to September 1.
CBSE said it would announce a new exam date after applications closed.
The Supreme Court said teachers should have a fair chance to meet the required TET qualification.
The test will have multiple-choice questions.
Each question is worth one mark, and wrong answers will not reduce the score.
Registered candidates will later be able to download their admit cards and learn their exam-city details.
CBSE is expected to announce revised CTET 2026 examination dates soon.
The CTET application window reopened on August 25 and closed on September 1, 2026.
The exam was earlier scheduled for September 6, 2026, before revised dates were announced.
The reopening followed the Supreme Court’s emphasis on giving eligible teachers a reasonable opportunity to obtain the required TET qualification.
The exam will contain multiple-choice questions carrying one mark each, with no negative marking.
