Indore Drug Stores Face Violations After Two-Day Inspection
The Drug Department in Indore checked 24 medicine shops over two days.
They looked at licences, whether a pharmacist was present, and records of medicines sold.
Ten shops had problems, like missing licences or selling drugs without a pharmacist.
The department will send notices to those owners, and if they don’t fix the issues, they could lose their licence.
They also took samples of six medicines to test their quality in a lab.
10 of 24 medical stores in Indore violated drug regulations during a two‑day inspection.
Inspections covered licences, pharmacist presence, purchase/sale records, and abortion/narcotic drug documents.
Four of 11 inspected shops had irregularities; earlier 6 of 13 had violations.
Show‑cause notices will be issued; failure to comply may lead to licence suspension or cancellation.
Six medicine samples were seized for laboratory testing; owners reminded to sell only with a qualified pharmacist and prescriptions for Schedule H, H1, and NRx medicines.
