Railways approve Achhnera-Tanakpur Express halt at Banbasa station

A train called the Achhnera-Tanakpur Express is getting a new stopping place.

The new stop will be at a small station called Banbasa.

Banbasa is a town in the state of Uttarakhand in India, near the border with Nepal.

The leader of Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, asked for this new stop.

The Indian Railways Ministry said yes to his request.

The Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, told the Chief Minister the good news.

The new stop will help people who live near the border travel more easily.

Traders, students, families of defence personnel and pilgrims will benefit.

The train is numbered 15093 and 15094.

We do not yet know when the train will start stopping at Banbasa, because that date was not announced.
