India Aims to Increase Natural Gas in Energy Mix
India wants to use more natural gas for energy.
Right now, they use things like oil and coal, but they want natural gas to make up a bigger part of the energy they use.
This means more people will use gas to power their homes through pipes, like natural gas.
Also, it will be used to make power, and to create fuel from things like trash (CBG), and even hydrogen, and natural gas to power vehicles, which is called LNG.
This change will help India become cleaner and healthier.
The country is working hard to make this happen by building pipelines, gas stations, and helping industries to transition to cleaner energy.
The government aims to increase natural gas use in India's energy mix.
Focus includes piped natural gas, renewables, CBG, and LNG mobility.
Industry collaboration and policy support are key to achieving goals.
City Gas Distribution sector is crucial for cleaner air and industries.
India is the fourth-largest importer of LNG globally.
