India, US Advance Javelin Purchase and Co-Production Plans

The Javelin is a weapon that one soldier can carry and fire.
It is designed to attack armored vehicles and fortified positions.
The US Embassy said the Indian Army signed an agreement for the purchase.
One report says the deal is worth more than $45 million and includes over 100 systems.
Earlier reports described the sale as a possible purchase rather than a completed contract.
