Siliguri Councillor Accuses Mayor of Bias, Sparking Controversy
A politician named Dilip thinks the Mayor and Deputy Mayor are being unfair to people from his community.
He says they didn't want him to run for office before because of this.
He had a fight with them about a building in his area, and his supporters even blocked a road to show they agreed with him.
The Mayor says he didn't do anything wrong, but other leaders in their party are mad at Dilip for saying these things.
TMC councillor Dilip Barman accused Mayor Gautam Deb and Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar of bias against the Rajbanshi community.
Barman claimed he was targeted because of his Rajbanshi background.
A road blockade was staged by Barman's supporters in protest.
The blockade was called off after Barman intervened.
The Mayor denied the accusations, and other TMC leaders are upset with Barman.
