Bhopal Celebrates Jagannath Rath Yatra Amid Rain

In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, a grand Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath was celebrated on Saturday evening.

Thousands of devotees, including people from India and foreign countries like Russia and the United States, participated in the procession despite light rain.

The chariot, inspired by the famous Nandighosha Rath of Puri, Odisha, was beautifully decorated and moved through the city's main roads.

Devotees dressed in colorful traditional clothes sang bhajans and danced alongside the chariot.

Special arrangements were made for the distribution of Mahaprasad, including 400 kg of Khaja Mahaprasad and halwa for thousands of devotees.

The procession started from Bhopal Talkies and ended at Platinum Plaza near Mata Mandir.

Key participants included ISKCON preacher Dwija Mani Prabhu, Bhopal Mayor Malti Rai, and Madhya Pradesh Ministers Krishna Gaur and Vishvas Sarang.

The event was marked by religious programs, including aarti and spiritual messages.
