Raj Kundra Summoned in Bitcoin Scam Case
Raj Kundra, a businessman, has been asked to go to a special court in Mumbai on January 19, 2026.
The court wants him to explain his involvement in a Bitcoin scam.
The court believes he received a lot of Bitcoins from someone named Amit Bhardwaj, who is the main person behind the scam.
The Bitcoins are worth a huge amount of money.
The court also thinks that Raj Kundra did not tell the truth about where these Bitcoins came from and did not give them back.
Another businessman, Rajesh Ram Satija, has also been asked to go to the court.
The court is looking into how these Bitcoins were used and if any laws were broken.
Raj Kundra and Rajesh Ram Satija have been summoned to appear before a Mumbai PMLA court on January 19, 2026, in connection with a Bitcoin scam.
The court has taken cognizance of the ED's chargesheet, which alleges that Kundra received 285 Bitcoins worth Rs 150.47 crore from Amit Bhardwaj.
The ED alleges that Kundra is still in possession of the Bitcoins and refused to disclose wallet addresses or surrender the proceeds.
The court acknowledged that Kundra is alleged to have layered transactions to disguise the origin of the funds.
The case is related to a Rs 6,606 crore Bitcoin scam involving Delhi-based company Variabletech Pvt Ltd (VTPL).
