Acworth Leprosy Hospital to Undergo Facelift in Rs 3.25 Crore Restoration
An old hospital in Mumbai called Acworth Hospital, built during the British era, is going to get a makeover.
This hospital has been helping people with leprosy for over 135 years.
The city's government plans to spend about 3.25 crore rupees to fix up many of the old buildings there.
These include a special museum about leprosy, a hall for meditation, and the house where the doctor used to live.
They will also work on the temple, mosque, and church within the hospital grounds.
This is the second part of a project to make these old buildings look new again.
The work should take about a year and a half to complete.
The British-era Acworth Municipal Hospital in Wadala, Mumbai, is set for a Rs 3.25 crore restoration.
The project, managed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), will focus on Grade-II B heritage structures.
