Annavaram Temple Cancels Brahma Kumaris' Programmes
The Brahma Kumaris wanted to hold a meditation program at the Annavaram temple from January 20 to 24.
They asked for a discount on rooms and halls.
However, another group called the VHP said the Brahma Kumaris are against Hindu beliefs.
The temple officials listened to the VHP and the devotees and decided not to allow the Brahma Kumaris to hold their program.
So, the program was canceled.
The Annavaram temple canceled permission for the Brahma Kumaris' Rajayoga Dhyanam program scheduled from January 20 to 24.
The Brahma Kumaris requested a 50% discount on choultry rooms and halls for their program.
The Viswa Hind Parishad (VHP) opposed the program, claiming the Brahma Kumaris are an anti-Hindu organization.
The temple's executive officer, Vendra Trinadha Rao, rejected the Brahma Kumaris' request considering the devotees' sentiments and VHP's claims.
The cancellation was based on the VHP's representation and the sentiments of the temple's devotees.
