Adivasis Protest Lack of Road Connectivity
Some tribal people in a remote area in Visakhapatnam are very upset because there are no good roads to their villages.
They had to ride horses to protest because it's very hard to get to the hospital or get their food and money from the government.
They say that two people even died because they couldn't get to the hospital in time.
The government has promised to build roads, but it hasn't happened yet.
Some leaders are helping them protest and saying the government should spend money on roads instead of festivals.
Tribal people in Madugula and Chodavaram constituencies protested lack of road connectivity by riding horses.
Eight PVTG families in Pashuvulubanda and 13 Konda families in Jeelugulova are affected, totaling 120 people.
Lack of roads has led to deaths and difficulties in accessing medical facilities and government services.
A ₹2.1 crore road project from Jeelugulova to Pashuvulubanda has not been sanctioned.
Protesters also highlighted stalled road projects under the Palle Panduga programme.
