Asaduddin Owaisi Urges CM to Cancel 30-Year Lease of Urdu Academy Land
Asaduddin Owaisi, the chief of AIMIM, is upset because the government gave a big piece of land that belongs to the Urdu Academy to a private company for 30 years.
He says the person who gave the land did not have the power to do so and that the government did not ask the public for their opinions.
The land is worth more than ₹100 crore, and some people are worried that the deal might not be good for the Urdu Academy or the Urdu language.
They also say that the land's value was not mentioned in the government's order.
Asaduddin Owaisi has asked the Chief Minister to cancel the deal.
Asaduddin Owaisi urges Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to cancel the 30-year lease of 5,220 sq. yards of prime property belonging to the Urdu Academy.
The lease was issued by the minority welfare secretary without approval from the Chief Secretary and public notice.
The land is situated in Survey No. 29, Dargah Hussain Shah Wali village, Serilingampally mandal, Rangareddy district, and is valued at more than ₹100 crore.
The lease is for the construction of an Urdu-Ghar-cum-Shadikhana and commercial complex, but locals question its benefits.
Asaduddin Owaisi and locals argue that the minority welfare secretary does not have the authority to lease the land and that the government order does not mention the land's value.
