Indore Collector Mandates Safety Features and Professional Conduct for Buses
Imagine your school bus needed to be super safe and comfy.
The city boss in Indore told all the bus companies that their buses need to have bright lights, a way to track them with GPS, special buttons for emergencies, and even clean drinking water.
Drivers and helpers can't do drugs, must wear uniforms, and be nice to everyone.
They also said buses need fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and good tires.
Some seats are even set aside for women, people with disabilities, and new mothers.
These new rules are to help everyone get around safely and to stop bad things from happening on buses.
Collector Shivam Verma directed bus operators to ensure buses have functional lighting, GPS, emergency buttons, and drinking water.
Bus staff are prohibited from consuming drugs, must wear uniforms, and maintain polite behavior towards passengers.
Mandatory safety equipment includes standard fire extinguishers, speed governors, VLTD, panic buttons, and first aid kits.
Specific seating arrangements are required, with reserved seats for women, disabled passengers, and mothers with newborns.
Strict action will be taken against bus operators for negligence or violations of the new safety and conduct rules.
