BJP Accuses Punjab AAP Government Over Unpaid Employee DA

BJP Accuses Punjab AAP Government Over Unpaid Employee DA

Punjab government employees went on strike because they said the government had not paid their Dearness Allowance, or DA.

DA is extra money meant to help workers cope with rising prices.

More than three lakh employees reportedly took part in the strike.

Some government services were disrupted, and government hospital outpatient departments were closed.

The BJP said the AAP government had promised workers an 18% DA payment.

BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari accused Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann and the AAP of corruption.

These corruption claims were allegations made by the BJP and were not independently established in the reports.

The BJP demanded that the government explain the delay and pay the employees.
