Tata Power to Build 80 MW Renewable Energy Project in Mumbai
Tata Power's renewable energy branch, TPREL, is building a new project to supply Mumbai with power.
This project combines solar, wind, and batteries to provide a steady supply of electricity for 800,000 customers, even during peak times.
It's designed to generate 315 million units of electricity annually and reduce carbon emissions by over 0.25 million tons per year.
The project aims to supply power for four hours during peak demand and will help Tata Power meet government regulations for renewable energy.
Once operational, it will integrate green energy into Mumbai's power grid.
