Intermittent Fasting Without Calorie Reduction Shows No Metabolic Benefits

Intermittent Fasting Without Calorie Reduction Shows No Metabolic Benefits

A recent study found that intermittent fasting, where you eat within a certain time window and fast the rest of the day, doesn't help with things like blood sugar or cholesterol if you don't also reduce calories.

The study involved 31 women who followed two different eating schedules for two weeks each.

They ate the same amount of food and calories in both schedules.

The researchers found no improvements in metabolic health, but the timing of meals did affect the body's internal clock.

This means that if you want to lose weight or improve your health, just changing when you eat might not be enough; you also need to watch how many calories you consume.
