ISC Schools to Offer Entrepreneurship from 2026
Some schools in India that follow the ISC (Indian School Certificate) system have decided to teach a new subject called entrepreneurship.
This subject will be available to students in all three streams: commerce, humanities, and science, starting from the year 2026.
The exams for this subject will begin in 2028.
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) sent a notice to schools about this new subject.
Several schools, like The Heritage School and La Martiniere for Girls, have already decided to offer it.
Others, like St Thomas’ Girls School, are thinking about it.
The goal is to help students become innovators and not just job seekers.
Some schools believe that students in science and humanities might also be interested in this subject, so they want to offer it to them as well.
Schools are working out how to include this new subject in their curriculum and are preparing teachers to teach it.
