Songwriters Break Down Creation of "Golden" from K-Pop Demon Hunters

The people who wrote the song "Golden" for the movie K-Pop Demon Hunters shared how they made it.

One of the writers, EJAE, came up with the melody for the song while on her way to the dentist.

The co-writer, Mark Sonnenblick, explained that this song was the seventh one they wrote for that specific scene in the movie because it needed to fit the story perfectly.

Directors asked for specific musical parts, like a scale going up and a high note that the main character almost hits.

They even changed some of the song's words because what you could see in the movie already showed the meaning.

The song's message becomes much deeper when you watch the film, especially during the bridge, where it turns into the character's personal feelings.

Even though it's a great pop song on its own, seeing it in the movie adds a whole new layer of meaning.
