CBSE Reminds Schools: No Countersignature Needed for Transfer Certificates
Imagine you're moving to a new town and need to switch schools.
To do this, you usually get a special paper called a transfer certificate from your old school.
The CBSE, which is like a big boss for many schools in India, used to have a rule where another office had to check and stamp this paper.
But they already stopped that rule!
Now, the CBSE is telling all schools again, 'Hey, you don't need to send these papers to us for stamping anymore.'
Sending them causes problems and slows things down, especially now that we can do so many things online.
So, schools should just issue the transfer certificates directly without asking the CBSE to check them.
CBSE has issued a fresh reminder to all affiliated schools regarding transfer certificates (TCs).
Schools are instructed not to send any requests for countersignature of TCs to CBSE headquarters or regional offices.
The practice of countersigning TCs from one CBSE-affiliated school to another was previously discontinued by the Board.
CBSE offices continue to receive such requests, causing inconvenience to stakeholders.
The Board emphasizes that no countersignature is needed for any transfer certificate.
