Kerala Court Criticizes Police Over Barber's 10ml Liquor Arrest

Imagine the police arrested someone for having just a tiny bit of juice, like a teaspoon, and locked them up for a whole week!

A judge in Kerala was very upset about something similar.

A barber was arrested because police found a very, very small amount of liquor, only 10 ml, in his shop and accused him of planning to sell it.

The judge said this was a big mistake by the police.

He explained that people are allowed to keep a lot more liquor, up to 3 liters, just for themselves.

Having such a tiny amount shouldn't lead to arrest, especially not for a week.

The judge felt the police were not using their time wisely and might have had unfair reasons for arresting this barber, who came from a less privileged background.

The judge let the barber go free with bail, calling the situation ridiculous and suggesting police need to be more careful and fair, particularly with people who might not have a lot of power or money.
