Nellore Mayor Resigns Amid Political Dispute
The mayor of Nellore, Potluri Sravanthi, resigned from her position on Sunday.
She and her husband went to the Collectorate to discuss the situation, but the Collector was not available.
Later, she sent her resignation by fax, which was accepted.
Her husband accused a local MLA and a minister of forcing her to resign and promised to fight against them.
He also claimed he would reveal information about illegal assets owned by the minister.

Sravanthi's resignation was sent via fax at 7:40 pm and accepted at 9:45 pm.
Her husband accused Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy of forcing her resignation.
Jayavardhan claimed he would reveal details about alleged illegal assets of Municipal Administration Minister Ponguru Narayana.
