Odisha Flood Rescue: CM Praises Teams, Opposition Criticizes
In Odisha, India, heavy floods caused a lot of trouble.
The state’s chief minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, said that a team saved a pregnant woman from a village called Bagirathipur and brought her to a hospital safely.
Three people died in the floods, but many others were rescued.
The government says it is always ready to keep people safe.
Some politicians from the opposition party, BJD, said the government was not prepared and that people lost their lives because of that.
The government’s own ministers said they are working hard and that the government cares about everyone’s safety.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi praised disaster response teams for rescuing a pregnant woman from flood-hit Baleshwar district.
The woman, from Bagirathipur village, was safely transported to a hospital amid severe flooding.
