Maharashtra Forms Panel to Review Government Recruitment Exams
Maharashtra is creating a committee to check how government recruitment exams are conducted.
The committee will study the whole process, from making question papers to announcing results.
It will look for ways to stop paper leaks, cheating, impersonation and banned electronic devices.
It will also examine how technology can improve security and fairness.
The group will review how exam centres are selected and managed.
It will compare Maharashtra’s system with approaches used in other states and countries.
Committee members will speak with students, candidates, schools and other groups.
They will visit every revenue division and also hold online consultations.
The committee will then give the government recommendations for safer and fairer exams.
The Maharashtra government has formed a seven-member committee to comprehensively review the state’s recruitment examination system.
The panel will examine question papers, exam centres, technology, security, evaluation, results, malpractice prevention and grievance redressal.
Additional Chief Secretary V. Radha will chair the committee, which includes police, technology, administrative, academic and former UPSC officials.
The committee will consult candidates, students, educational institutions and other stakeholders in every revenue division of Maharashtra.
It will submit recommendations aimed at making examinations more transparent, secure, reliable, impartial and candidate-friendly.
