Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey Sign 'Attack on One' Defence Pact

Three countries — Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey — decided to team up and help protect each other.

They signed a special agreement called the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement.

Under the agreement, if one of the countries is attacked, the other two will treat it like an attack on all three.

The leaders who signed it were Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince, Pakistan's Prime Minister and Turkey's President.

They signed it in Mecca, a city in Saudi Arabia.

Right now there are wars and conflicts in the region, so the three countries want to feel safer together.

Saudi Arabia's oil facilities had been attacked, so it wants more partners to help defend it.

The agreement may also allow joint military exercises, training, technology transfers and intelligence sharing.

It is like a team promise: if someone hurts one friend, all the friends will react together.
