Gurugram Manager's Punctuality Message Amid Floods Sparks Reddit Outrage
It rained very hard in a city in India called Gurugram.
The rain caused floods, and the roads were covered in water.
The government told people to stay home and work from home.
But a manager sent a message asking workers who had arrived at the office on time.
People thought this was unkind and unfair.
They posted the message online on a website called Reddit.
Many people wrote angry and funny replies about the message.
The weather forecast says more rain is coming on Friday.
The work-from-home advice is still in effect.
Some roads are still closed because of the damage from the floods.
A Gurugram manager's message asking which staff members 'reached office on time' during heavy flooding has sparked widespread outrage on Reddit.
The viral screenshot asked employees whether they reached the DLF office or Signature Towers on time, ending with 'Punctuality reflects professionalism.'
The authenticity of the screenshot and the manager's identity remain unverified.
The Gurugram district administration's work-from-home advisory remains in effect for August 7, with the IMD forecasting moderate to heavy showers for Delhi-NCR.
Around 100+ mm of rain on Thursday left roads under two to three feet of water, snapped power lines, and forced the closure of the Ghata Powerhouse–Ghata T-Point road.
