UP Govt. to Install Biogas Units in Rural Households
The Uttar Pradesh government is starting a program to help villages.
They will set up biogas units in many homes.
These units will provide cooking gas and make fertilizer.
Farmers will pay a small amount, and the government will help with the rest.
This plan will save money on fuel, help the environment, and boost farming.
Cow shelters will also be part of this project, making fertilizer and possibly creating jobs.
UP government plans to install biogas units in 2.5 lakh rural households.
The initiative aims to reduce kitchen fuel costs and promote environmental sustainability.
In the first phase, 2,250 units will be installed in four districts.
Farmers will pay Rs 3,990 per unit, with the remaining cost subsidized.
The project includes developing cow shelters with biogas and manure production.
