DŌAAB Expression 02: India Meets Japan in a Single Malt Whisky
Imagine a special drink made in India that's a bit like whiskey.
It's called DŌAAB Expression 02.
What makes it super special is that it was aged in wooden barrels that came all the way from Japan.
These barrels are made of a special kind of wood called Mizunara oak, which is really hard to find and gives the drink a unique smell, like incense.
This is the first time an Indian whiskey has been aged in these special Japanese barrels.
It tastes smooth with floral and vanilla notes.
The makers wanted to show how two different cultures, India and Japan, can come together to create something amazing.
It's a limited edition, so there aren't many bottles available.
People in India are starting to like their own special drinks more and more.
Globus Spirits Ltd. has launched DŌAAB Expression 02, an Indian single malt whisky.
This whisky is unique as it's aged in rare Mizunara oak barrels from Japan.
It is the first Indian single malt to be matured in these specific Japanese casks, with only 500 casks available.
The DŌAAB series aims to represent a 'dialogue between two cultures,' blending Indian craft with Japanese restraint.
The single malt is priced between ₹3,500–₹3,800 and is initially available in Gurugram.
