Unlimited FSI fuels Hyderabad high-rises as infrastructure pressure mounts

Unlimited FSI fuels Hyderabad high-rises as infrastructure pressure mounts

In a big city called Hyderabad, the government lets builders make buildings as tall as they want.

The special rule that allows this is called "unlimited FSI."

Because of this rule, lots of super-tall buildings are going up all over the city.

These tall buildings need water, drains, and roads to work properly.

The city government has to build and pay for these things.

Many new buildings are more than 60 floors tall.

The tallest building in the southern part of India is being built at Osman Nagar.

It will have more than 870 homes inside three towers.

Some people who live in the city are worried about all this construction.

They think too many tall buildings will make the city look like a giant concrete jungle.
