Nepal Floods Leave Three Andhra Pradesh Residents Missing
Floods in Nepal have affected seven people from Andhra Pradesh.
Three people are still missing.
Four others have been found safe but cannot leave yet.
The four stranded people were travelling in a large group to Kailash Mansarovar.
Two of the missing people were travelling with the Isha Foundation Group S3.
Minister Nara Lokesh and several agencies are trying to find the missing people and bring the stranded people home.
Rescue teams from Nepal are working in the affected areas.
Officials think an ice-rock avalanche may have caused the sudden flooding instead of rainfall.
People who are stranded have been told to stay safe and contact their embassies.
Three Andhra Pradesh residents—Bala Subramanyam, Sasi Kumar and Rajyalakshmi Nimmagadda—remain unaccounted for in flood-hit Nepal.
Four others, including Bhaskar Shastri, have been traced safe but remain stranded.
The four stranded people were part of a 156-member group travelling to Kailash Mansarovar.
Minister Nara Lokesh and Andhra Pradesh Bhavan are coordinating with agencies in India, Nepal and China.
Flooding severely affected Syapru Besi, BC and Timure; an ice-rock avalanche in the Lhende River may have triggered it.
