Jake Weatherald’s Bizarre Boundary Denied After Dead-Ball Call

Jake Weatherald was batting for South Australia against Tasmania.

The bowler, Raf MacMillan, accidentally released a very unusual ball.

It bounced away from the pitch and moved toward the leg side.

Weatherald ran toward it and hit it toward the boundary.

It looked like he had scored four runs.

Umpire Gerard Abood said the ball was a no-ball because it bounced outside the playing area.

He also said the ball became dead before Weatherald hit it.

Because of that decision, the boundary was taken away.
