Western Railway Plans Two Borivali Platforms For More Virar Locals

Western Railway wants to build two new platforms at Borivali station.

One platform will help trains travel between Borivali and Virar.

The other will support the Harbour line extension toward Borivali.

Each new platform will be 330 metres long.

The railway also plans to extend Platform 10 and build a new station building.

New platforms are also planned at Andheri and Virar.

These changes could allow 30-40 more local train services.

They may also reduce delays because local and long-distance trains would have separate tracks.
