Apple Details iOS 27 Release With AI-Powered Siri
Apple is releasing a new iPhone update called iOS 27 on September 14.
People with supported iPhones can download it for free from Settings.
The update gives Siri more artificial intelligence features and lets people type requests to it.
Siri is also described as understanding conversations better and remembering earlier parts of a chat.
Some newer iPhones will receive more advanced AI tools than older models.
Apple is changing the look of the iPhone, including the Lock Screen and Screen Time settings.
Several everyday apps are getting helpful changes, such as smarter suggestions and grouped Safari tabs.
The update works on iPhones starting with the iPhone 11 series and the second-generation iPhone SE, but individual features may depend on the device.
iOS 27 launches worldwide on September 14 as a free over-the-air update for compatible iPhones.
The update supports iPhone 11 models and newer, plus the second-generation iPhone SE and later.
Siri gains expanded AI capabilities, including typed requests, stronger conversational context, and access to past conversations.
iOS 27 adds Liquid Glass refinements, Lock Screen and Screen Time changes, personalization options, and new parental controls.
Phone, Messages, Mail, Safari, Handoff, Wallet, and RCS messaging receive new features, though availability varies by device.
