Ahmedabad to Host Second Commonwealth Cue Sports Championships
Ahmedabad will host a major cue sports tournament from October 7-10.
Players from nearly 46 countries are expected to take part.
They will compete in five games: billiards, snooker, heyball, 10-ball pool and blackball.
Both men and women will have competitions.
India will send 13 players, including six men and seven women.
Some Indian players received direct places because of their recent results.
The tournament is part of the Billiards and Snooker Federation of India’s centenary celebrations.
India will also host another world snooker championship in Indore later in the year.
The second Commonwealth Cue Sports Championships will take place in Ahmedabad from October 7-10.

The event will feature 16 players in each category for four disciplines, while billiards will have eight players in each section.
India will send a 13-member squad comprising six men and seven women, coached by Ashok Shandilya.
The championships are being held by the World Confederation of Billiards Sports and the Billiards and Snooker Federation of India, with Apex Sports organising.
