Andy Carroll Reveals 2021 Sexual Assault as Attacker Is Jailed

Andy Carroll says a man sexually assaulted him at his home in 2021.

At the time, Carroll was playing for Newcastle United.

The man had come to watch a boxing match and planned to stay the night.

Carroll said he woke up during the assault and made the man leave.

When the man tried to return, Carroll knocked him unconscious.

Carroll called the police and later gave evidence in court.

The man was convicted and sentenced to three years in prison.

Carroll wrote about the experience in his new book, Owning It.

He says speaking about it was difficult but might help other people.
