Manas Dhamne Seeks Consistency to Close Tight Matches
Manas Dhamne is an 18-year-old Indian tennis player.
He started the year playing very well and moved up to 369th in the world.
He won one smaller professional tournament and reached the final of another.
Recently, he has lost several very close matches.
He says he needs to trust himself and stay calm when matches become difficult.
His coaches think his tennis is already good enough, but he must play at that level more often.
He also wants to improve his serve.
Dhamne is not setting a specific ranking goal and plans to keep working hard, playing matches, and enjoying his life on tour.
Manas Dhamne says trusting his instincts and closing out tight matches are his main priorities.
The 18-year-old rose from outside the world’s top 550 to 369 after an ITF Futures title and an ATP Challenger final.
Dhamne has struggled in recent months, with several losses coming in closely contested matches.
He and his team believe his overall tennis level is strong, but he needs greater consistency during matches and across tournaments.
Dhamne trains with Riccardo Piatti at the Piatti Tennis Center and remains ready for future opportunities with India.
