KKHSOU Mission Aids 250 Flood-Affected Families in Sivasagar
The state of Assam in India had big floods.
The floods made life hard for many families.
A university called KKHSOU decided to help.
This university has a special group called the Mother Teresa Social Welfare Mission.
The group brought boxes of supplies to families in need.
The boxes had food like rice, oil, lentils, tea, sugar and milk.
They also had soap, toothpaste, candles and clean drinking water.
Families received clothes, mosquito nets and school things for children.
Two hundred and fifty families got the supplies.
Kind people from the university and nearby colleges worked together to share the help.
The Mother Teresa Social Welfare Mission of Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU) organised a flood relief drive in Sivasagar district, Assam.
Relief materials were distributed to 250 flood-affected families in the villages of Hulang Katoni, Ligiripukhuri and Lonpuria.
Relief kits contained essential food and household items including rice, mustard oil, lentils, bottled drinking water, tea, sugar, milk, soap and sanitary pads.
Additional items such as clothes, bedsheets, pillow covers, mosquito nets and children's stationery were also handed over.
The drive was supported by KKHSOU authorities, college coordinators and local volunteers, reflecting the university's commitment to community outreach.
