IRB Infra Jumps 7% on Rs 9,270 Cr NHAI TOT Project Win
A company called IRB Infrastructure Developers got a big job from the government's highway authority (NHAI) to manage and collect money from tolls on about 366 kilometers of roads in Uttar Pradesh for 20 years.
This is a really big deal because it's the most money NHAI has ever given out for this kind of project.
Because of this good news, more people wanted to buy shares in IRB Infrastructure, making their stock price go up by 7%.
The company also recently shared that it made more profit in the last three months than it did last year.
Even though the stock price has gone up recently, it has gone down over the last six months and year.
IRB Infrastructure Developers' shares surged 7% to Rs 45.95 following the announcement of winning a project from NHAI.
The company was the lowest bidder for NHAI's TOT-17 Bundle project, valued at Rs 9,270 crore over a 20-year concession period.
The project involves the tolling, operation, and maintenance of 366 km of roads in Uttar Pradesh, including the Lucknow-Ayodhya-Gorakhpur and Lucknow-Varanasi corridors.
This award is the highest-valued NHAI monetization deal to date.
IRB Infrastructure Developers also recently reported a 41% increase in consolidated net profit for Q2 FY26, with total income rising to Rs 1,800 crore.
