AGMUT Cadre Dominates Chandigarh Administration Over Punjab, Haryana

Imagine Chandigarh is a city run by the government.

For a long time, people from nearby states, Haryana and Punjab, helped run the city.

Now, most of the important jobs are being filled by officers from a different group called AGMUT.

This means these officers from the AGMUT cadre are now in charge of the main departments and boards.

Some officers from Haryana and Punjab still have jobs, but not as many.

This change has sometimes led to disagreements between the different groups of officers.
