Yogi Cabinet Approves ₹200-Crore Ethanol Plant at Closed Mathura Mill

The Uttar Pradesh government approved a new ethanol plant in Mathura.

It will be built at the old Chhata Sugar Mill, which has been closed for 19 years.

The project will cost more than ₹200 crore.

The plant could make up to 3.96 crore litres of ethanol every year.

It will work for about 11 months each year.

Sugarcane will be used during the crushing season.

Later, the plant can also use maize and paddy.

The project may create jobs and support warehouses and other facilities near Noida International Airport.
